"I bought this detector because my old one died after 6 years, and it was a Whistler's also. I was very skeptical at first, but, I decided to give it a try after all...this radar detector has a very good range for K-Ka band; 1/2 a mile is the average/longest range that I noticed so far, which is good enough to slow down, but, only if you are an average speeder (5-12 miles above the speed limit), but if u like t..."
