"After about 15 min use, the unit began to buzz noticeably. I checked the fan carefully for obstruction and found none. I believe the noise is due to vibration from the powerful cooling fan, amplified by the aluminum case. The noise is not the whir of the fan but a higher pitched and annoying buzz.

"I used this to run my laptop to watch DVD's while traveling. The unit worked fine except for the nose of the fan, I had to put in under the seet so I could keep from being distracted while driving. Then after about 30 hours of use it just stopped working. Would not recommend this unit. "

The only warning is to make sure that all the things you intent to run do not excede the wattage, in this case 400. I learned to read all those labels attached to the electric items. "
