"I was a hardcore Maxtor fan until about a year ago when the quality level, fit and finish seemed to go down a bit. "This thing was a nightmare. I needed a large drive to use as a scratch disk with my mac and Final Cut. I bought this for the Firewire capability. I will admit, when I removed it from the box, it was gorgeous. It definitely wins in the looks department and was sleek enough to compliment my Mac. That's about all the good I can say.
