"Pros Size, this version has the power on/off switch, and most importantly the options for firewire/USB/eSATA. Super easy to install. Cons I wish it would have come with an eSATA to eSATA cable, but only USB, so I had to do transfers a bit slower until I got the eSATA cable. "The My book works OK but it goes to sleep intermittently (randomly after a few hours to a few days) and won't wake up. I am using the eSATA interface and there is no way to safely cycle the power to wake it up again other than shutting the system down and then the My Book, power up the system and then the My Book. Size, this version has the power on/off switch, and most importantly the options for firewire/USB/eSATA.
Super easy to install.
Cons

1) Very large drive (1 TByte). Capable of holding large Music/DVD libraries, software or files (i.e. for travel/backup).
2) Separate power source. Doesn't need to use Laptops limited USB power source (note: 4-pin Firewire and eSATA PCMCIA card have no power option).

"If you have eSATA the drive is pretty fast. Games like NFS, Mirror's edge and FEAR run from the drive without a glitch.
Even though the manual says that the drive doesn't power on or off automatically with PC via eSATA, it does so with my HP Pavilion dv5 laptop.
