"This Hard drive can only be used as a Back-up drive. I was planning to use it as a Start-up/Bootable drive. The manufacture says it will NOT work that way. There is Nothing in the literature that would tell a user that before purchase. "

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
