"Just put in the batteries and your good to go. The new "feels like" temperature feature gives an even better perspective of the conditions outside. "I live in NJ and the closest cities listed were Point Pleasant (the weather there is much different because its the Shore) and NYC which is far enough away to have a significant difference in weather as well. I paid to order service through the ambient device website for my exact town and never got my town on my device. "First 8 months battery use was minimal..Maybe a change every 3 months...After that we needed to change the batteries every 7 to 10 days. Very expensive and frustrating. [...]When it worked it was a great way to get information re: weather, time and temperature. "

"I had purchased the previous model for my dad last year for his birthday. He loved it... and then it stopped updating. I exchanged my old one for this one and the fact that we don't have to pay a monthly fee for the local weather is a bonus!! It has a much better signal and it just looks nicer. "
