Carmagne Series Tripods - The name Carmagne stands for CARBON FIBER and MAGNESIUM (Mg) - 3-section Carbon Fiber legs with die-cast Magnesium (Mg) alloy components combine to create a lightweight tripod of superior strength offering features not found in other conventionally designed tripods. Ideally suited for use with all 35mm SLRs and most medium format cameras.

This extremely light, yet very sturdy tripod is constructed with rigid Carbon Fiber Legs, a superior, durable Magnesium Body and Magnesium Panheads. Carbon fiber and magnesium materials are One Third Lighter than aluminum. This durable and versatile tripod has Low-Angle and Semi Low-Angle Positions with a Split Center Column, as well as scratch resistant Neoprene Grips and Rubber Feet. The effortless Lever Lock System enables extending or contracting the legs at any position even in cold weather. As a standard it comes with a Tripod Case, Stone Bag, Accessory Hook and a Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Carbon Fiber is 1/3 lighter than aluminum with strength superior to that of iron and aluminum. It is an excellent vibration absorbing material and is resistant to temperature changes.
Maximum versatility is achieved with its individually adjustable 3-position leg spread: normal, semi lowangle and full low-angle.
Die-cast Magnesium (Mg) alloy body for strength and light weight. Velbon was one of the first to utilize this method in the manufacturing of tripod components.

"Very light, yet extremely strong. Able to hold my D200 with 70-200 f2.8 without any movement for multi exposures. Weight bag convenient for uneven terrain. Only downside is having to unscrew the vertical handle from the horizontal handle to store. Would recommend for anyone with Heavy equipment. "
