"This scanner is simply to say-SUPERB. I am able to pick up fire/paramedic dispatch and police and security easily. The initial setup is a bit tricky but after a good read of the manual it gets easier. (The manual didn't come with my order for some reason but I easily found everything on the internet). "I read the instructions and have not gotten it where I can get emergency provider frequencies into the scanner so it will scan the police, fire, ambulance services. hopefully i can find somebody who can program it for me. i got it on line, but can I take it to a local store for help?..." "hard to program. manual is written great til it comes to the scanner side of the machine. was able to get one emergency frequency but can't figure out how to get it to scan. "
