"We were tired of cheap, poor quality cordless phones. This one is heavy (a good thing) and the buttons have great touch. The display is much like a cell phone and gives the impression of quality. "I bought three of these over a year ago, and I have consistently had problems with static. Since these are running at 5.8 GHz, I don't think I'm getting interference from my home wireless network, but perhaps my neighbors (condos) are causing me a problem.
