"Certainly not at the very high end, but it does the job quite well. The beef I have with it is that all the aluminum edges are sharp as hell, even on the tension bar... You could easily cut yourself installing this puppy. It is a little bigger than I had imagined, which I guess helps in heat dissipation... "I put this on my 5000+ BE about 8 months ago. The only real pro about it is it cooled my north bridge and RAM because of it's design. With my BE running at 3.1 Mhz it would hit 55C within two minutes, so I pulled it, lapped it, lapped my processor, and got it down to 53C after 2 minutes under load, and 55C after 2 hours of PRIME 95. "I did not have an issue attaching as described in other reviews. AMD Quad core running around 30-35C with this fan. Great value for the price. Only has 3 wire plug so not able to regulate fan speed. "
