"The former reviewer thought there were 6 not 7 ports. Actually there are only 4 ports. all 3 internal connectors are shared with the first external port. I benchmarked the throughput and the card is a DOG. The highest throughput I could get was 7.8 MB read, no where near 2.0 USB rates. "Typical easy snap-in PCI install. Computer booted as usual.I am using one of the ext.ports for an external HD. The internal port is holding the receiver for my cordless optical mouse. Can't beat the price, ease of ordering onlne. Standard shipping for me meant 2 days at my front door. "
