"I bought this reader with trepidation because of the DOA units reported by other buyers. Fortunately, mine seems to work correctly. Be advised tho, of the USB disclaimer that the USB ports are non-powered, and are intended only for self-powered USB devices. It won't even reu my thumb drive. "Don't buy it. The side where the screws go did not line up and it is not made out of metal, it is soft plastic, so the holes are not very rigid, and it makes the whole front side look uneven.
