"My 5 year old Toshiba laptop died Saturday night and I needed a replacement by Monday so off to Best Buy. I figured I pick-up something "cheap" in the $700 to $800 range to hold me over until I get a custom configured machine. "I got this machine as an exchange when I returned a non-working 17 inch version. Both failed out of the box. Both needed multiple restores from the recovery DVDs. After recovery, the vista driver for the DVD can not be loaded because of registry problems but Toshiba tech support (24/7 and rightly so) has a patch you down load to get your DVD back.
