"This is a great value in a HD-DVD player! Works great and the picture & sound are amazing. Some would say not to buy an HD-DVD palyer because of the on going format war with Blu-Ray. I think HD-DVD will win this despite what others say. But even if HD-DVD looses you will still have a upconverting (1080i) DVD player that can play HD-DVD'd for less that what others ask for just a upconverting player that can't do ..." "I just bought a Toshiba HD CD Player model #HDA3 No wonder these units were put on sale! As is just being announced all the "big" rental providers (Net Flix, Blockbuster, ect.) have decided to go Blu-Ray exclusively. Great Picture...Little slow to startup

"Overall a good unit. It takes a while to actually power up and get a movie playing. Once it is up and running it works nice. When playing regular DVDs they must be extremely clean or the system gives back an error and you have to clean off the disc. "
