"I'm using the external hard drive as a back up for my files. I have a Mac and it works well as a plug and play peripheral. My only complaint is that it is very slow backing up music, photos and especially video. I initially chose to back up my entire computer. "I bought two of these drives and one of them broke immediately. I was in the process of backing up my computer onto one of these when I bumped the cord and it came unplugged. No big deal, right?
