"I drove from Chicago to San francisco. I program Tom Tom to avoid tolls, it did a great job till i got to San francisco. Because i set it to avoid tolls it directed me to take a longer route. "This GPS is a good, inexpensive unit that has a lot of nice features, but also has one major problem. That major problem is that the maps are quite old and the free map upgrade from TomTom does NOT apply to refurb units.
