"This is my 4th Tivo and I purchased 2 for my parents as gifts! My favorite feature is to pause/rewind a live broadcast. When you're trying to hear a weather/special report/news headlines or whatever is important to you and your kids interrupt to share something with you that is important to them you can give them your attention and then rewind the broadcast to hear what you could have otherwise missed.
