Best Tripod Design Ever Invented

"Way back in the '50s and '60s, before the day when the dawn of modern photography was just breaking, the Tiltall tripod was known as the Leitz Tiltall. The Ernst Leitz Co.(Leica)in Germany had such respect for its quality they adopted it as their own. I have had and used a silver Tiltall since about 1983 when I bought one used. My recent purchase from B & H of a new black model reinforces my opinion through ac..." Read Full Review »

Not Impressed!

"Right out of the box on first set up, one of the legs came off in my hand! The threads which hold them to the support are too fine of a thread for the amount of stress required. The legs are extremely tight which makes it even worse, and can't be loosened. This isn't the Tiltall of years ago, it's now made in China...." Read Full Review »

"I recently used this tripod on vacation and it worked flawlessly. The tripod is extremely sturdy and can hold my D200 with a 70-300mm lens completely still at any angle.

I would highly recomend it to anyone wanting a very inexpensive and sturdy tripod.

I also don't think it is as heavy as some …"  Read Full Review »

"Don't be deceived by the low price. This is an excellent tripod for both indoor and field use. Soft rubber tips on each leg won't mar floors, and extendable spikes grip firmly into the ground or thick carpet. It has plenty of reach and standing 5' 11" I never have to stoop or raise the center column …"  Read Full Review »

"Using with a Nikon D40x with a 18-200 telephoto lens and SB-600 flash. This is thing is rock solid. It really does feel "military grade" in toughness. If you want perfect panning and no drooping for slow shutter shots then this is a great tripod. It is heavy and not as quick to deploy but it is …"  Read Full Review »
