"I've bought this for my new EF 24-105mm f/4L IS lens. This was the first time I's buying a filter. I also bought other two Tiffen UV filters: a 52mm for EF 50mm f/1.8, and a 58mm for EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 and Sigma 70-300 APO DG Macro f/4-5.6. "I found that this filter actually slowed my lens down. Camera metering selected faster shutter speeds across all apertures when the filter wasn't used and I never had this problem with other lens using UV protectors from different brands.
