The Thomas DUB Black and White Duplex Super Safelight is considered the best professional darkroom lamp. It is designed to flood the darkroom with a soft, evenly diffused monochromatic "bounced light" of high intensity for maximum visibility and comfort. All direct light will then strike the walls above eye level and the work areas will receive only soft, indirect light. NOTE: This is not a typical darkroom safelight. It is a heavy duty unit designed to provide many years of trouble-free service. Inasmuch as this unit weighs 20lbs, it requires extremely secure suspension from the ceiling.

"For the new black and white darkroom. This light puts out wonderful warm yellow-orange light. Its narrow light spectrum has little effect on B&W paper, at least in my tests for five minutes exposure. It gives enough light to read spec sheets or developer directions! Highly recommended. "
