    Excellent Audio CD Recorder

"I have a collection of about 3,000 LPs and 500 45 RPM singles, in very good to minty condition. For the last 5 years I've used a Philipps recorder to create CDs. Sometimes I transfer these recorded CDs to MP3s. I also make compilation CDs from my LPs and from previously recorded and commercially available CDs. My records are in good enough shape that I don't have to filter out the pops and scratches -- and mostl..." Read Full Review »

Nice controls - playback is fussy

"This cd recorder is a separate audio component much like an old fashioned audio cassette component; it records (analog and digital-optical) and plays. This is exactly what I want. My unit arrived and I noticed immediately it had problems playing audio cds. Frequently, instead of playing them it reports load error. Eventually, after repeated tries, it will play the disc.[...]..." Read Full Review »

"If you were to buy a CD for every LP in your collection, you would spend hundreds of dollars, and probably not find everything. The TEAC CD-RW880 pays for itself after transferring about 10 LPs to disk.

"This was a great unit! I had asked many local audio electronic stores if a CD recorder existed but none were knowledgeable enough to give the answer. This unit has helped me convert several LPs into CD as well as some 1980-era reel-to-reel tape recordings of music that I made with a band. GREAT! "
