The CD-P1260 from TEAC is a straightforward, affordable single-disc CD player with support for standard CDs, CD-R/RW, and MP3 CDs. It has a 1-bit dual D/A converter to provide incredibly high-quality audio with terrific realism. It offers random and repeat playback modes, and control can be performed via the front-panel buttons or with the included full-function remote.

A 1/4" headphone jack with volume control is provided for private listening, and the rear of the unit has a standard RCA phono output. The LCD display makes it easy to see the track number and time of your music. The well-built unit sits on top of four isolation feet to protect against vibration.

a rare find

"The unique thing about the Teac is, quite simply, that there are very few single well CD players out there. I use single well players in all 3 theaters at the arts center where I work and they are harder and harder to find. There are plenty of low cost DVD players available, but if you want the ability to have a display that counts down each track or the whole disc instead of just counting up, this is one of a..." good workhorse sans important feature

"This is a very durable unit that offers very good fidelity. If you need a "time remaining" readout (ie; to work as "clock" while you're playing disc and use this feature to help u leave house on time- or u need it to make 'dupes' to cassette for old "walkman") - FORGET ABOUT IT........" "Use product to play mainly MP3 CDs - works great. Can search in folders or songs in root. Easy to use, very nice blue back light, easy to read. One of very few units with a single disk, which is what I wanted as I am not a fan of multi-disk units.

Only reason for 4 star and not 5 star is the th …"  Read Full Review »

"I have had had bad luck with multi-CD changers. Most of them develop problems with the CD transort mechanisms, so this single CD player suits my purposes. It is simple to use and my expectation is that it will prove reliable over the long run. "

"This is the first Teac product that I've ever purchased and if every product they make is like this then they will have a returning customer from me. This is a great no frills CD player. I was looking for a changer, but by "accident" ordered this single CD playing unit. It sounds great. It plays …"  Read Full Review »

"It plays all CDs and sounds good. An audiophile may not like it, but most would be quite statisfied with it. If you prefer playing one CD at a time, then you should check this out. I much prefer this unit to using a DVD player as a CD player. "
