The efficient Class D amplifier design runs cooler, even when the music is pumping. A transparent compression circuit protects your sub when you occasionally run into clipping, without fear of thermal damage. If things do get too hot out there, thermal sensors shut down the amp section until it’s cool enough to resume safe operation. Finally, an over-excursion filter protects the 18” woofer from bottoming-out when you are really bumping. No need for bodyguards here, the TH-18s has your back.
