Great Allrounder

"I wanted a travel lens and this one fit the bill. it is a pretty fast lens compared to the competition at equal focal lengths and the reach is unrivaled. The VC mechanism works very well - at least as well as Canon IS on 70-200f4. Image quality is very good and I am happy with the sharpness of the pictures. Great Range But Design Needs Improvement

"I love the fantastic zoom range and the excellent image stabilization but the zoom mechanism has been pushed apparently beyond its limits. The zoom has a poor distracting feel; it is not not smooth and frankly at some points is much stiffer than others making smooth quick zooms difficult.
