Excellent medium size backpack

"Overall this backpack serves my needs well. It's well built and stores all the equipment I need (or would want to carry) on my hikes. One could purchase a vest system to have your items more accessible, but when you've got to walk a ways the backpack seems a better choice. The construction is very good and I like the quick release system you can get to carry your camera upfront putting the weight on the backpack..." Read Full Review »

I returned this item

"I found that this pack did not have enough space for my gear. When I shoot I carry a Canon 5D, 70-200, 24-105, 450EX, Canon A-1, 35-105, Holga, tripod, +. I also found that it did not sit well on my back and became more cumbersome than the Domke bag I had carried previously. After I returned this pack I purchased the 5585 pack and it works out much better. It is much more comfortable, carries the tripod better, ..." Read Full Review »

"This is a much lighter, and easier to carry, alternative to the Lowepro Vertex 200, which I also own, and much, much easier to carry all day than a fully loaded shoulder bag. A Nikon D200 with an 80-400 plus three or four other lenses, or a set of Lee filters and holder plus 2 other lenses will fit …"  Read Full Review »

"I was never really a "backpack" person. On a photo shoot / hike a fellow friend had one of these. I noticed how easy it was for her to access her camera and lens. She raved about it and said that there was a larger version but this one was light weight and met her needs. I bought it! The backpack is …"  Read Full Review »

"I wanted a backpack to travel all around the world with and this seems to be the right one. I at first bought a tamrac 5374 adventure 74 but it would not fit my gear. My gear: Nikon 50 f/1.8, Tokina 12-24 f/4, Tamron 28-75 f/2.8, and soon to come a Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 and a Sigma 150-500 (when releas …"  Read Full Review »

"This is an update from by previous review on 5/21/2008. Just a couple of things. First the backpack is boxy and as I've heard before screams "camera". Compared to my Northface backpack (I know it is not a camera back but still) it is much more bulky and squaresh and funny looking. Next, in my previo …"  Read Full Review »
