"Very seldom do I ever buy something without doing my research first. Especially when it comes to technology. This television set was one of many that I had my eye on. "I received this as a present this past Christmas and put it in a small bedroom where the viewing distance was about 8 feet away and it was fine. Nice clean picture using co-ax cables but they don't give you a choice. There are NO HDMI inputs on this unit so there's no way to get true HD. "I bought this for my dorm room next year so I am expecting to play video games and watch tv with it. I have tested it out with my xbox and playstation and so far the picture quality has been great. I definitely recommend this to anyone who wants an affordable tv with a good picture "
