"Based on other's recommendations I picked up one Stroboframe 300-405 Accessory Shoe from a local retailer. After an hour or so of playing with it, I gotta tell ya...I am scrapping all of my other shoes for this. A really great design. Instead, the shoe clamps onto both sides of the flash's foot. A small red knob turns to open and cl

"Using with Nikon SB-900 speedlights. It has worked very well for me during 5 photo shoots. I'm not going with 5 stars because of the red plastic knob which feels cheap so I'm concerned about it's longevity. "

The adjustable sliding lock is very good and I believe can accomod
