Do not use the tape!

"Used this runner in a conference room in a high traffic area, worked very well until I tried to remove it and half of the double sided taped stayed stuck to the carpet. Just buy some 3M doublesided tape and it will be fine. Another thing about theses runners, lay them out flat in the sun or warm area for a while before applying, makes installation much easier...." Well-made but with a permanent roll

"The product comes rolled up in its box. It will not unroll and, when taped down pulls loose at the ends because of the roll. We used it to pass speaker and computer wire across several doorways. With the doors closed, the product is held flat. Open the doors and both ends of the strip pull away from the carpet and form humps: disappointing.
