    Difference between MC5 and MC10

"Took more hours to find out the differences between MC5 and MC10. MC10 has video outputs (HDMI, Component, or Composite video outputs) and a remote control for playback, MC5 doesn't. Therefore, MC10 can be used as a stand-alone DVD player to playback AVCHD discs. If all you need is to archive from camcorder to DVD and you already have a AVCHD capable player (such as PS3 or a PC), then MC5 is enough for you. MC..." Read Full Review »

    Good Product

"I use it to avoid renderings on DVD simple production especially from HD to SD content. I do my editing on a Avid Media Composer and use the Mojo SD to export my edited content directly to DVD in real time without rendering. I also export my content from the camera to the DVD recorder and even use it in events to create a backup on DVD during the event. One great thing about it is the quality and speed. Other g..." "Easy to use and works just as described. I have a lot of clients who need unedited DVDs in various formats upon completion of a taping session. This does the job. Moreover, I can pre-load titles, slate etc. prior to taping in the field so I have a finished product ready to hand over. "

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

"The AVCHD format in most hard drive camcorders is a pain in the butt. I purchased this as a simple way to dump all my footage to DVD so I could clear out the camera. I figured someday, someone would come up with some outstanding software to work with the AVCHD format.
