HD Film Quality with 24p TRUE CINEMA
Most of all Hollywood movies are shot at 24 frames per second, and Blu-ray Disc™ movies are mastered at 24 frame per second, so it is only fitting that the STR-DH500can output your films at 1080/24p for a true film-like experience at home.

Multi Function Audio Input
Sony’s DIGITAL MEDIA PORT plays back music from various audio sources whether it is stored on an iPod, Walkman, Bluetooth device or PC.

Quick Speaker Set Up
An ideal listening experience is only a button away. Simply place the included microphone in your listening position, push a single button and speaker placement, distance and delays are automatically adjusted.

"Sony's new entry level A/V receiver is a clear step up from the old model. Sound quality is very good. The HDMI switching and Bravia-sync are a bounus espcially since the rest of the components I have are compatible. The menu is not intuitative but can be navigated reasonably well with a little practice. "This is good for basic setups. I am using this for my TV, speaker system connected to my DVD, Ipod and turntable. I renamed some of the menus.
