90% Fantastic

"The 90% is the value for the doller. The other 10% is what you don't get and a few very small gripes. For a budget priced receiver in a declining stereo market this an excellent find. What you don't get are pre-out jacks, and tape monitor jacks (necessary if you want to add an equalizer), and a phono jack (if you have any vinyl you want to play, but Pyle makes a phono pre-amp for about $25 so you can use any jac..." "Has audio inputs but does not accept phono input. It would make a good reasonably-priced component for a home theater system. Be sure to read all the fine print on the amp/receiver to make sure it accepts phn inputs. Audio inputs are not phono inputs. "

Basic No Frills Receiver

"This is a basic no frills receiver from Sony. Looking at the specs it should not sound as good as it does, but it does sound great with my 10 year old Klipsch loudspeakers. If you are looking for a basic reciever with not a lot of bells and whistles then this would fill the bill. "
