"This thing does what it says - blocks some of the light from your Z7U or S270 flip out viewfinder (It comes with brackets for both). That said, I would not buy another one. I'd rather just use the eye-piece, or even keep searching for something else.

"This unit works very well. It's a nice addition to my HVR-Z7U in outdoor shoots. I like how you can keep it connected to the LCD even when it's folded up. Highly recommended accessory for the price and for it's effectiveness. "
