"I drive a school bus that is equipped with a cassette player. I needed a CD player to work off of that and 12-volt power. This is just about perfect. My biggest concern was that it might skip since buses are not known for their smooth rides. It has never skipped. I'm very pleased. The fact that it is "refurbished" is irrelevant. "We were disappointed that there were refurbish stickers on the machine and the words "Refurbished" were on the box several times. Our understanding is that this could be an item that had been brought back by a previous customer but we didn't know that it would be packaged like that. We purchased these for Christmas gifts. "I'm not an earbud kind of guy. I bought this expressly for the car kit. The system works very well. The sound quality is excellent. The control buttons are small, but well-positioned and it didn't take long to learn to work them by feel alone.
The system was well worth the money.
