"There is a trick to wearing these, which is stated in the directions. You have to set these in your ears and then twist the stems of the ear plugs forward toward your face. "I have used both the psp-1000(phat) and psp-2000(slim) remotes, there really is no difference except that the 2000 series has a slightly smaller new remote design. As for the headphone part, it it exactly the same.
