I have a couple of pointers to help reduce frustration for other customers. 1st, make sure that you have the manual near by since it has specific instructions on how to replace this lamp. 2nd, the original projector remote is required to reset the projector lamp and most people do not use this remote on a daily basis, so check/replace the batteries in the remote before trying to rese..." "This is an original Sony lamp and that is important to me. The quality of the lamp, its prefocus and color temperature are vital to the projected picture quality and I only trust Sony to get this right. Using mail order it is essential to have a trust worthy supplier such as B&H. "Very easy to install. Self-contained unit with a couple of screws to hold it in place. Quite expensive though for a bulb. I use the Cineza HS51A for my home theater and it is wonderful for movies, TV and video games. "
