"I have not really owned it long enough to see how durable it is,but the fit and finish is nice and it has that sturdy(Sony) feel to it and very easy to operate with good sized buttons and not a bunch of frilly options I dont need.At first I didnt think it was that great of sounding boombox,then i put Tom petty "wilflowers" disc in and the sound just flowed out.So play some music that has various musical instrume..." "Used this radio for ~1 &1/2 months at an outdoor summer camp. Got used almost everyday & in all conditions. Was left in hard rain at least 10 times. Held up well to being knocked off of a deck, only got a scratch. Doesn't drain batteries quickly either.

"We bought this radio for our daughter who is a Phys Ed teacher and uses the cd player for some of her classes. She's had other boomboxes in the past that haven't held up- but this one surely looks like it's up to the task- and the sound quality and volume control are great! "
