"This item is for Sony HDV camcorders.It is capable of recording miniDV standard, and for HDV recording.. that is, 1080i and 720p recording, specifically on Sony HDV line camcorders, since Sony is the the headrunner of confusing HD-miniDV format.Also use only in Sony camcorders because Sony uses specific head-types that will ruin other tape decks.
