"I have used this product for a while and got to personally compare it with DCR -SR42. Both have theire advantages and disadvantages , so let me chart this out for you - SR42 vs SR-200 1. Quality - SR200 -> Very good quality. Amazing in low lights conditions as well. Night mode is also a worth feature. There is no motor sound in any video and the mic has a good reception. "I have used this camcorder for a month now. The use has been all indoors. The recording quality is not so bad indoors (provided you have good lighting). In low lighting areas, there is a lot of graining. I did cut a DVD. The video quality is good but was a little disappointed with audio.
