"These are COMPONENT cables, NOT COMPOSITE cables [see the picture I've included]. This means they do NOT use the old Red, Yellow, White jacks on the TV. You need an HDTV that has the 5 component jacks: Blue, Green, Red, Red, White. Your TV must have Progressive Scan (720p or 1080p).
