"Try everything on the unit when you receive it. I bought two as presents, one for my wife and another for my sister. After opening it my wife has the radio and CD player but never thought to trying playing a tape. He brought out some of her recording last night to show me and when she installed the tape, the button just clicks. "Bought this as a gift for a friend. I wanted something lightweight and easy to use as my friend is getting on in years.
The player is very intuitive and comes with a handy remote. the batteries are supposed to last a good long time, which will be good for outdoor use.

"I use this to tape borrowed books & record from CD or tape to audiotape. Yes, I'm in the dark ages, but I love the small size of my walkman cassette player & I listen to books on tape all day & to fall asleep. I have a huge library of cassettes. "
