"This product is useful if you want to store and play large numbers of CDs. The functions which it contains are not particularly useful for those with a classical collection. The Random function only offers random tracks, not whole disks. Since many classical selections have groups of tracks which make sense as a unit, total randomization isn't highly desired for me, and I wonder, with the disk change cycle takin..." "This is my second Sony CD player in a 10 year period. My first Sony also had problems with humming and whining noises. It was repaired under warranty at a local Sony authorized repair center in Paramus N.J. 3 times before I purchased a Kenwood 6 CD Carousel changer. "If you have a big collection, the cases take up lots of room. Put the liners in a wallet and you have your whole collection available. Use the shuffle function and eventually you hear everything. "

"Bought this last year. Maybe played 10-15 times, have it leveled perfectly on a very solid ent. center as advised by other reviewers and the book. Hooked to a VERY expensive surge supressor, as is my other equipment. Used the optical output to an Onkyo amp.
