Hugh Problem / Camera or Disk? Error

"I was videoing a wedding for a friend. I shot the bride from the altar, paused the camera gently walked to the back of the church. Set my panasonic video camera on a tripid. Pressed record.... disk error. do you eant to repair yes or no. I pressed yes. one minute later it displayed ..can not be repaird. The whole disk is not readable. I am going back to VHS..."
