"I work with Sony products all the time and am never surprised to find the finest of quality among their entire product line. I'm happy to say this attention to quality and detail extends, as expected, to these DL DVD+R's.

"These discs are good quality, and that's important as each disc costs more than $2 full price and each burn takes abut 45 minutes for a full disc.
I only use these for high quality video, much better off using two single layer discs for file backups.

"I love being able to fit the whole movie onto one disc without having to compress it. I have burned quite a few and have not even had one coaster yet. These are expensive but when you compare to the cheaper brands which can have errors, this is well worth the money when every blank DVD will be used. "

"I burned 10 of these discs in quick succession (data mode DVD, no movies) and I did not lose any disks. Takes approximately 1 hour to burn and verify job integrity (2.4x speed). All 8.5 Gb of data are available, as advertised. My only concern is the high price, but I certainly got what I paid for. "

"Sony makes the very best blank media when it comes to dual layer dvds. These are the only dual layer dvds I use to burn movies and such because I have never had a bad burn. NEVER! The only thing is you should wait unitl they go on sale because man they are expensive. "
