"I bought it for its promised versatility -- 17-in-1. But I was very disappointed to learn after opening the package and reading the detailed info that it can't read SD cards (used by Canon, etc) without an adaptor. And it doesn't even show you what kind of adaptor it needs and where you can buy it, because Sony doesn't carry it. Very disappointing. I'm returning the product. But what a waste of my time...." "There are a lot of cheeseball card readers out there with cockypoopy, unreliable contacts, bad fitting slots, no clear labelling and not too "Universal" USB compatability.
This card reader is not one of those. :-)

"This card reader is not only fast, but it is also dependable since the slot for loading cards are very deep, which can prevent bending or breaking pins, especially when using CF cards.
It looks great too, with its brushed aluminum top.

"This card reader is great for everyday carry with my laptop. It fits in my external harddrive case with ease. I download my pictures to the laptop while in the field for easy preview. Love it!! "
