The Slik Pro 500DX Tripod is a full size eye-level tripod that uses Tri-Titanium material, a strong aerospace alloy compromised of aluminum, magnesium and titanium. The Slik Pro 500DX tripod has a strength-to-weight ratio 40% greater than comparable tripods in its class. The included 3-way pan/tilt head includes a built-in quick release shoe that can slip in from any direction. It features a locking lever and safety catch to prevent accidental release.

"As an art focused photographer stability is a necessity in my equipment. I use an ISO 50 B&W film so I see alot of long shutter speeds. The tripod is great-Forget the head.

"This tripod is outstanding-I agree with all the favorable reviews of the tripod. The pan and tilt head does not live up to the quality of the tripod. The pan and tilt handles are too loose in their threads when loosened enough to unlock the pan and tilt functions.
