"I have a 160Gb hdd. This portable is intended as backup for that drive. Very quiet. Small enough to fit into a small safe deposit box. Package instructions rather vague & hard to read (very tiny type size). Drive takes longer to be recognized by Windows XP Home than any other plug & play device I've ever had.
