"This lens has done very well. I have owned it now for around 8 months. It does not have any OS or VR and that does hurt as you will need to carry a tripod at times. This lens is heavy, so if you think you can hold it steady at 200mm think again. The 2.8 stop is wonderful making it work great in low light. Sports and area shots are awesome. I use it on my D80 and its work horse. The only downside is weight. You ..." Read Full Review »

"I use this product for Waterfalls and Wildlife photography. This lens focuses very fast, and sharp. The only draw back so far is no image stabiliation, but this is not that big of a deal because I use a tripod most of the time. Also it's heavy. "

"I really like this lens. It focuses really fast and quiet. When I put it on the continuous-servo auto-focusing mode, the HSM (hyper sonic motor) does extremely well.
