"I could not be happier with this lens. I have been watching for reviews since it was first announced and then became available, but I eventually became impatient and took the plunge anyway. "I bought this lens even though I saw some pretty nasty reviews about the focusing issues, but was hoping I'd receive a good version. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. The lens I received had lots of focusing issues such as slow focusing, front focusing, missing focus all together, and hunting for focus even in broad daylight. "I think the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 prime lens (310101) is a great lens. It feels perfect in my hands and I am very happy with the quality of the pictures that I take with it. I am still learning a lot about Photography and find that this lens to be a welcomed addition to my camera bag. "
