"I'm using this lens for more than 6 months and more than 5 000 shots already fired. My opinion that this lens has a very good overall performance. Considering all the photos that I shot, about 80% of them are really good. Sharpness is great(lesser in extremes of 28mm and 300mm), but that's usual. "Bought this lens 4 years ago when I bought my D50. Was a great lens to learn off of and great focal length to cover any amateur and even slight pro photography needed.
