"Love the long zoom, but all my long range (100+ yards)photos require sharpening regardless of tripod use. OS works great again handheld vs tripod doesn't matter with long range. Focus is as fast as my Canon lenses. The photos I've included have been cropped and sharpened...." Read Full Review »

I returned this lens (not real sharp)

"I shoot primarily wildlife out in the wild, and I've always used nothing but Canon "L" glass - but when Sigma came out with this they had me hooked. Who wouldn't want a lightweight 500mm with OS that they could handhold? And for under $1000 ! It seemed too good to be true. Well, it WAS too good to be true. "With the conversion factor this lens has some serious " reach " very " up close and personal " with anything from a Blue Bird at 15 feet to a Hawk on a limb at 50 + feet.

I admit I bought it on price , but would not hesitate to do it again on performance , very pleased . "
